One of the big perks of writing this blog is that I get introduced to some very entertaining and talented people and projects in Los Angeles.  EX (IT) WOUNDS is exactly that kind of project.

EX (IT) WOUNDS grew out of a real life love disaster (What??? Those never happen!). Rather than digging into an Olympic swimming pool-sized vat of ice cream to recover from the Dear Jane letter from hell, a friend’s hilariously scathing re-interpretation of the letter sparked some creativity. Et voila!

Watch in shock and guffaws as the cast of EX-IT WOUNDS reinterpret 100% real, anonymously donated break-up letters into a comic cabaret of songs, spoken word, dance, and even puppetry. Names have been changed to protect the innocent (and the guilty!).

They have shows running on the IO mainstage (6366 Hollywood Blvd. LA, CA 90028) on Fridays 9/28 and 10/12 (and they’ve had some pretty nifty guest stars in for a special audience treat).  If you bring your own letter from a failed relationship, you get 2 for 1 tickets.
